An Adventure With My Imagination

Sometimes I imagine things that make me afraid. At night I imagine all kinds of scary things.

One night I was outside on the trampoline with my friends. While we were jumping, all of a sudden, we heard a loud a loud, "Crash!" Then a dish rolled out of the playhouse.

The wind was blowing. The branches were swaying in the trees. We thought we saw the trees smiling at us.

We looked back at the playhouse because we heard scratching sounds. A pair of red eyes were looking right at us!

Suddenly my friend saw a bright, white light shining on her sister’s head. None of us had a flashlight! Then my sister said, "It must be a ghost!" We all screamed and ran inside.

The next day, when I thought about all those things that I was afraid of, I giggled. I know that ghost aren’t real. Also, the red eyes were probably just an animal. Our imaginations took us on a wild adventure!

The Heart of a Parent; The Heart of God

Defend your heart young child,
For soon it will be rebellious and wild.
Be courageous take careFor soon you will be unaware
Try to remember the words I speak
In a few short years you will no longer be meek
Even when you feel like your life is crashing down
Try to remember god’s always around
I can not control your life from here
I just pray that god is near
Close your eyes from the wicked things
When your teen year’s come- sin will sing
Desert evil was as best as you can
Never forget that god has a plan.
Have the strength of David and the heart of Paul
Kill everything in you that is of Saul
My child, every day, for you I cry
I want to know you will be with me when you die.
Serve Jesus in the mightiest ways
And you will not stray from him; all of your days.
Smile through storms; give yourself up in the tallest measure
One last thing, my child- please thank god when you collect your treasure

How is it a person like me,is priviledged to stay in the presence of Thee?Your creation sings Your glory nigh to Your Kingdom up so high.
Why do You need a sinner,to accompany You in forever?
Could it be, You wanted me?
to be Your friend with Thee?
Yes, it's true, You wanted me,over Your Kingdom that keeps
Thee ever away from me.
That's why you came to make a way,so now I'll come today.

Author: Frances Hodgson Burnett
By: Sara McGregor - September 15, 2006, Age 12

One gloomy summer’s day Mary’s parents died, leaving her an orphan. She is a stubborn girl from India who is moving to her Uncle’s house. Mr. Craven is a rich man, with 100 bedrooms in his house. Mary meets her maids: Mrs. Medlock and twelve-year old Martha. The second day at her new home, Mary went walking and bumps into the grounds gardener, Ben Weatherstaff. He tells her the Cravens story: Mrs. Craven died. She fell to her death from a branch of her favorite tree that was in her beautiful garden. Mr. Craven locked the door to its entrance ever since that dreadful day. Out of curiosity, Mary walked towards the garden in hopes to find the door. Just then, Mary saw a robin pecking at the ground and offered it company by talking with it. After the bird flew away, Mary finds a rusted key poking up out of the ground. But because it was turning dark, she headed home. The next morning while jump roping outside, the very same bird from the previous day led her back to the garden and uncovered the entrance.Intrigued by the gardens mysteriousness, Mary uses a stick to dig out weeds. Later, Mary met a boy named Dickon who joins her in the task of glorifying the withered garden. Soon winter arrived, Martha forbade Mary to never go beyond one of the curtains in the house. Mary hears shrieking cries coming from the other side of the curtain, she could no longer keep her promise. She opens the curtain to find a boy lying in his bed. He introduces himself as Mr. Craven’s son, Colin. Their visits were frequent and many conversations revolved around gardening. Mary shared her secret to Colin, how she was fixing up the special garden. He was a hypochondriac; his mental state caused him physical illness. For ten years Colin had not seen daylight! Desiring to see the garden for himself, he allowed Mary to push him in his wheelchair to their destination. During the spring- day after day, Mary encouraged Colin to get up and walk. Colin was convinced that the garden was magical. This thought and the branches new blooms made him rise to his feet. He joined in helping them care for the garden. Many visitors had come to the garden for good company and great scenery. The three children would share stories, eat, and chat. While Mr. Craven was away he had a dream that Mrs. Craven was calling his name, telling him to go to the garden. That same evening he received a letter that Colin wanted him home. He darts out the door to "The Garden"" When his father arrives home, he finds his son missing from his bedroom. Ms. Medlock tells him, "He is in (THE GARDEN.)" He remembered the words spoken from his wife in the dream, "I’m in the Garden". While playing tag with other children, Colin accidentally bumped into his father. Colin immediately spills out his "new hope." Mr. Craven wells up with tears as he embraces his son. Mr. Craven cries out, "tell me everything son!" Mary, Dickon, Mr. Craven and Colin journeyed home.
